Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Administrator. This role involves managing various aspects of payroll, ensuring accuracy, and providing exceptional support to the payroll department. The Payroll Administrator will work closely with the finance and HR teams to maintain seamless payroll operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and audit accuracy of payroll and timekeeping records in Workday for all hourly, salary, and salary non-exempt employees.
  • Research and resolve payroll issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Run payroll processes, follow documented processing steps which include detailed auditing of information, and transmit payroll.
  • Contact employees and managers about any payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll issues promptly.
  • Assist with the garnishment process and prepare payroll records for legal requests.
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with HR regarding any cross-functional process.
  • Ensure all expense reimbursement reports are uploaded properly and accurately.
  • Book payroll & benefit journal entries to the General Ledger system.
  • Audit quarterly and year-end tax documents, including W2 and 1095-Cs.
  • Complete month-end close procedures for all payroll-related items.
  • Assist in any payroll-related audit responsibilities.
  • Assist with other payroll-related responsibilities and reporting, such as Workers Comp audit.
  • Manage any other payroll-related projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using Workday and other payroll software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
